CLEAN AND FRESH
Australia's environment is relatively unpolluted and produces
some of the most wholesome, clean and healthy fresh fruit and
vegetables in the world.
A strong commitment to high standards of food safety is backed by
monitoring systems and world class research into health and
nutrition. Australia is internationally recognised as being
relatively free of many plant diseases and insects which affect
other countries' horticultural products.
Strict quarantine regulations and controls on pesticides enable
Australia to produce clean wholesome food for export.
IDEAL CLIMATIC CONDITIONS
Australia has a diversity of climates ranging from tropical to
temperate. These climates give Australia a wide spread of
harvesting times for many of it's fruit and vegetables. For
example, many crops can be grown in the north of Australia during
winter to complement supplies that are available in summer from
Southern Australia. Together with good soils and grower
expertise Australia can produce a wide range of quality fruit and
vegetables. |
